CTO as a Service

What is a CTO as a service mandate?

A Chief Technical Officer (CTO) as a Service mandate aims to help a company or a business executive by assisting in making decisions related to Information Technology (IT). These decisions can be related to software choices, hiring, external service provider selection or budget management.

Who is it for?

To any company or executive who needs help in making IT decisions but does not have the financial resources or enough work to hire a full-time person in the Technical Direction position.

With a part-time CTO as a service mandate, a person can be involved on an ad hoc basis for a few hours per week or per month.

This allows a company or an executive to delegate decision-making and management of IT resources to someone with sufficient experience and expertise to assume the role with confidence.

By not filling this role full-time, part-time intervention allows us to deal with the highest priority topics that require specific expertise, and thus optimize the return on investment.

Why work with us?

We have more than 15 years of professional experience in software development and even more in IT in general. We have also worked as CTO for several years, managing budgets, IT resources, choice of providers, internal IT hiring and career growth of IT employees.

We have the experience and expertise necessary to execute this type of strategic mandate. You can therefore rely on us to help you make structuring decisions and to support you in your digital transformation.

Our intervention can be occasional or on a regular basis, depending on your needs and your budget. The objective is to maximize the return on investment of each of our interventions.

How does a CTO as a service mandate work?

First of all, it is necessary to meet so that you expose us your requirements and your expectations. Following this meeting, we will be able to make you a commercial proposal presenting an on-demand intervention process, or on a regular basis.

Once the proposal is accepted, we could start to work and join if necessary your different internal processes.

In the case of occasional interventions, you contact us on demand and we intervene in the days that follow to address the specific problem you are facing.

In the case of regular interventions, we start by identifying your current issues to be addressed and defining your IT roadmap for the coming months. Thanks to this, we will be able to quickly suggest short and long-term recommendations.

We can then take care of the implementation of these recommendations, or you can do it on your own. In both cases, we define a meeting rhythm in order to make a regular follow-up and to manage the IT decisions.

Whether it is a one-time or regular intervention, it can be done remotely with virtual collaborative tools, or on-site at your company's offices.

How long is this type of mandate?

The duration of a CTO as a service mandate varies depending on requirements and the IT roadmap.

For a small company that simply needs some advice, it can be a few hours spread over a month.

For a company that wishes to grow and that faces more important problems, the intervention can extend over several months, at a pace of a few hours per week.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a CTO as a service mandate depends on its duration and potential travel.

The invoicing is done at an hourly rate (time and material). You only pay for hours actually worked, and the cost may vary according to the potential travel required.
